The comprehensive home visiting workforce development training was designed to enhance the skills of home visiting professionals using adult learning principles. Instructors delivered the training through a blended learning approach and customized content, aiming to empower professionals, foster peer support, and improve family outcomes, aligning with Family League's commitment to excellence in service delivery.
University of Maryland, School of Public Health
Spearheaded the development of social media strategies and plans for the Office of Communications, utilizing online research and analytics services. In addition, DSG planned, executed, and maintained social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, while additionally drafting online content and adeptly synthesized medical content into accessible language for the student audience on sph.umd.edu.
Center for Urban Health Equity
Grants-related consulting services including grant application preparation and submission, grant budget monitoring, developing IRB protocol, and compliance assurance with grant requirements. Effective communication between faculty and external funding agencies was facilitated by DSG, fostering a collaborative environment for successful grant acquisition and management of $15 million of grant funding.
Harvard University + LabXchange
Collaborated with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to effectively translate a body of scholarship into user-friendly materials tailored for college educators to incorporate into their teaching. DSG played a vital role in promoting an understanding of racial public health disparities linked to structural racism and provided educators with practical tools and strategies to apply antiracist and culturally competent teaching methods in their classrooms.
Howard County Public School System
DSG provided tutoring and evaluation services -- the objective was to deliver a program of tutoring services and track the progress of program implementation across 77 schools, benefiting 58,000 students in the Baltimore-Washington, DC metropolitan region. DSG, Inc. effectively supported HCPSS in the implementation and assessing the effectiveness of these K-12 tutoring services through its contract work.
Johns Hopkins University
DSG conducted quantitative analysis for the Institute for Clinical & Translational Research using Chi Square, ANOVA, and Cox proportional regression on NHANES III and 2015 Linked Mortality File data to examine the association between cumulative stress and all-cause mortality in U.S. Black men.
University Career Center
Met with students to critique resumes and facilitated connections with internships that aligned with their academic plans and career goals. DSG disseminated information and promoted experiential education through on-campus workshops, mock interviews, and information fairs.
Morgan State University
Assisted the School of Community Health & Policy with preliminary research and proposal development for the public health undergraduate and online MPH programs. Additionally, DSG actively supported the curriculum development and evaluation for the MPH and DrPH programs, instructor training and assessment, as well as e-learning and computer-based training initiatives.
Maryland Department of Transportation
DSG actively partnered with the State Highway Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation to develop and execute a comprehensive pedestrian safety campaign tailored to meet the specific needs and challenges faced by the Northeast Baltimore City community.
DC Department of Healthcare Finance
Specialized in project management, survey development, and qualitative data analysis for the Department of Healthcare Finance, supporting the design of transformative systems, policies, and workflows.
